Their complementary expertise spans applied mathematics, structural optimisation, lightweight engineering, nonlinear mechanics, uncertainty quantification, and AI-supported design methodologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Topology optimisation has become one of the key technologies for developing highly efficient structures in fields such as\u00a0automotive engineering, aerospace, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. By combining mathematical optimisation with artificial intelligence and high-fidelity simulation, researchers are creating new approaches that enable lighter, stronger, and more sustainable products while reducing material consumption and development time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TOPOS2027 is designed as an intensive networking event where participants will exchange ideas, identify common research challenges, and explore opportunities for long-term scientific collaboration. Particular emphasis will be placed on integrating AI-driven optimisation methods with manufacturing-aware design strategies and advanced computational models to address the increasingly complex requirements of modern engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond scientific exchange, the summit aims to establish the foundation for a future\u00a0DFG Priority Programme, strengthening Germany\u2019s structural optimisation community and enhancing its international visibility.
