Following the outstanding success of its inaugural edition, the Bavarian-Czech AI Summer School returns to the Speinshart Scientific Center for AI and SuperTech from 7 to 11 September 2026.
Jointly organised by the Bavarian-Czech Academic Agency (BTHA), OTH Amberg-Weiden, and the Speinshart Scientific Center for AI and SuperTech, the Summer School brings together talented students and researchers from Bavaria and the Czech Republic to explore current developments in artificial intelligence within an international and interdisciplinary environment. The initiative is supported by the Bavarian State Chancellery as part of its commitment to strengthening cross-border scientific cooperation.
This year’s theme, “AI and Industry,” focuses on the practical application of artificial intelligence in industrial environments. Participants can look forward to an exciting programme featuring keynote lectures, hands-on workshops, a collaborative hackathon, and visits to leading technology companies in the region. Throughout the week, theoretical insights will be combined with practical experience, encouraging participants to develop innovative AI-based solutions to real-world industrial challenges.
Beyond its academic programme, the Summer School provides an exceptional platform for international exchange and networking. Set within the unique atmosphere of Speinshart Monastery, participants benefit from an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and scientific dialogue across disciplines and national borders.
The Bavarian-Czech AI Summer School forms part of a multi-year initiative to strengthen academic cooperation between Bavaria and the Czech Republic while promoting excellence in artificial intelligence research and education. Building on the success of the first edition, the 2026 programme promises another inspiring week of innovation, collaboration, and international friendship.
