BusinessConnect @ Speinshart

At the first BusinessConnect event held at the Speinshart Scientific Center, we welcomed over 30 guests from academia and industry! Following a warm welcome by P. Hermann Josef, Administrator of the Speinshart Monastery, and opening remarks by Tobias Reiss, Vice President of the Bavarian State Parliament, two groundbreaking regional projects were presented that support Bavaria’s High-Tech Agenda on its path to becoming a leader in future technology research:

The Speinshart Scientific Center was introduced by CEO Dr. Adrian Rossner: This unique facility, one of a kind in Germany, has been welcoming scientists since April. It offers an exceptional environment within the historic Speinshart Monastery for conducting excellent research and fostering collaboration.

The Technology Transfer Centers build seamlessly on this foundation, supporting founders during the startup phase and offering strong networks — including connections to Silicon Valley. The TTZ of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology was presented by Prof. Dr. Thomas Meenken, and the new Kemnath Campus of the OTH Amberg-Weiden was introduced by Prof. Dr. Christiane Hellbach.

Following the two keynote presentations, the SSC invited attendees to network in the Monastery Lounge — an opportunity that was enthusiastically embraced by all participants.

It was an all-around successful evening!

A heartfelt thank you to all our guests, networkers, and partners. Special thanks to the IBKS for their outstanding support in organizing the event!
